The City of Bartlett is installing an elevated water tank and piping to connect to the city water system in Yale road. This tank construction requires deep piers to be installed for earthquake resiliency which is the work that is under construction now and is the source of all the noise. This should be complete by the end of the month. These metal piers are being drive 80 plus feet deep into the soil to support the tank foundation. Once the piers are complete , a concrete foundation will be installed on top of the piers. Steel will then be installed to create the shell of the tank. That work will occur over the fall and winter. The tank will then be painted in the spring with a final completion date in July of next year. Once the piers are in the noise associated with this site should be minimized.
