The Youth Citizens Police Academy (YCPA) is a program designed to provide teens an inside look at law enforcement. The purpose of the academy is to increase understanding between our young citizens through education and interaction with members of the Bartlett Police Department. The academy gives our youth the opportunity to learn first hand, in an educational and non-threatening setting, how issues facing teenagers today are dealt with by the police department.

This program will be available for teenagers between the ages of 14-16. The course will be held June 8 – 12, 2009. There is no fee to attend this course, however, space is limited.

Applications are available at the Bartlett Station Municipal Center, Bartlett City Hall and the Bartlett Justice Center. Applications should be returned to the Bartlett Station Municipal Center, attn: Officer Mike McGee. For more information, please call Officer Mike McGee or Lt. Rory Mack at 385-5510.
