The City of Bartlett Fire Department
TEEN CERT Disaster Preparedness Training
Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) training is a training program that prepares you to help yourself, your family, friends, neighbors, or your community in the event of a disaster. The Bartlett Fire Department is now offering TEEN CERT Training within the city.
TEEN CERT is a program designed to provide teens with hands on training in disaster preparedness, fire suppression, disaster medical (first aid and triage), and light search and rescue.
The TEEN CERT program also builds strong working relationships between emergency responders and the citizens we serve through education and interaction with members of the Bartlett Fire Department.
The TEEN CERT program is available for teenagers ages 13 through 17. The course will be held October 19 through October 23, 2009 at the Bartlett Station Municipal Center from 5:00-9:00 p.m. There is no fee to attend this course, however, applications will be taken on first come first served basis and space is limited.
Applications are available at any Bartlett Fire Station and online at the City of Bartlett website www.cityofbartlett.org. Applications should be completed and returned to the Bartlett Fire Department, Attention: Chief Terry Wiggins, 2939 Altruria Rd. in Bartlett.
