Is there a charge for a fitness assessment or strength orientation?: The initial Fitness Assessment and Strength Orientation is included in the membership for each member 16 years of age and older. However, each additional assessment is $25 and appointments are required for both.

1. What are the Recreation and Fitness Center Hours?: Monday-Thursday 5:00 am to 10:00 pm
Friday 5:00 am to 8:00 pm

2. What is the busiest time?: Due to popularity of our morning excercise classes, our peak morning hours are between 9:00 am and 11:00 am and our busiest hours at night are between 5:30 pm and 8:30 pm. Group Exercise Schedule

3. When are your classes? Is there a charge?: We offer classes as early as 5:15 am and as late at 7:00 pm. Aerobics, Senior Fitness and Water Exercise classes come free with the membership. Due to a limited number of spin bikes and Barre space, you must sign-up at the Front Desk to participate in all spin classes and Barre classes. Minimum age to participate in group exercise is 14 unless otherwise posted. All classes are first come, first serve.

4. What is the pool temperature? How do you regulate the chemicals?: The water temperature of the pool is set at 83 degrees in order to provide an appropriate temperature for the wide variety of pool users including lap swimmers, open swimmers, water / arthritic exercise participants, and recreational swimmers. All chemicals are regulated through a complex computerized management system that automatically adds chemicals as needed.

6. Is there a time limit on the machines?: During peak hours, there is a 30 minute time limit on all cardio equipment. All of the treadmills are programmed to a 35 minute time limit. Youth between the ages of 12-15 may use the bikes or elliptical trainers only after successfully completing the Youth Recreation Certification or JYM program or under direct adult supervision. 7. Is there always availability to swim? Lap swim or open swim?: We always have an area open for free swim. There are usually a couple of lanes marked off for lap swimming. During the summer the free swim area is limited due to the continuous swim classes and swim team practices. Aquatics Center

8. Do I need to show proof of residency?: We need proof of residency for all Bartlett residents. This can be with a current utility bill, or property tax records. If you do not own the home that you are living in, then you will need to provide a copy of your lease agreement. Other forms of proof i.e. cell phone bills, bank statements, may be accepted upon approval from management.

9. Can I join month to month?: The BRC offers memberships on a continuous billing basis with the ability to cancel your membership with 30 days written notice. (Restrictions Apply). Yearly memberships are also available.

10. Can I rent a locker?: Lockers can be reserved for the year for $60.00, otherwise the lockers are on a day to day basis. We do not provide a lock for the lockers so it is highly recommended that you bring your own.

11. Do you provide soap, towels, etc.?: There are liquid soap dispensers provided in the showers. We do not provide shower towels or workout towels. A BRC-logoed workout towel is available for purchase at the Front Desk.
