Site Plans

Planning Commission

The Zoning Ordinance requires that, prior to development of a site with certain uses, a site plan must be approved by the Planning Commission.

Design Review Commission

Further, for most development, a site plan must be approved by the Design Review Commission. The Design Review Commission approves any aesthetic changes made to the building.

Handbook

Summaries of requirements for submittal and contents of required site plans (for both the Planning Commission and the Design Review Commission) are described in the Handbook for Land Development. Applications for site plans are available online.

Other

A site plan also may be required in conjunction with other application procedures (such as planned developments and special use permits), if it is necessary to show compliance with relevant standards.
