1. When will I receive my City of Bartlett property tax bill?

Tax bills are mailed to homeowners prior to December 1, and are payable through February 28. Taxes become delinquent March 1. Prior year taxes are collected by Shelby County.

2. Will my mortgage company be notified that my taxes are due?

A tax file is emailed to all of the major mortgage companies so they may identify the parcels they need to pay.  However, a homeowner with a mortgage should forward tax notices received to their mortgage company.

All appraisal changes as well as changes in ownership come from the Shelby County Assessor's office (901-222-7001).

5. Are there other locations where I may pay my delinquent City of Bartlett property taxes?

Delinquent taxes may also by paid at the Shelby County Trustee's office at 157 Poplar Ave between the hours of 8:00 am - 4:30 pm, Monday - Friday.

State Tax Relief may be available to citizens 65 or older, 100% permanently disabled veterans as determined by the Veteran's Administration or permanently disabled as rated by the Social Security Administration. City of Bartlett tax relief applications can be obtained from the Shelby County Trustee at 901-222-0200.

7. Does the City of Bartlett offer a Tax Freeze Program?
